FairPensions was first established as a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales number 05013662. In late 2006 we received charitable status from the charity commission and we are a registered charity, number 1117244.

FairPensions was established by a coalition of NGOs and trade unions under the name ‘Fairshare Educational Foundation’. The organisation was properly launched as ‘FairPensions’ in 2005, but our legal name (and name registered with the Charity Commission) remains ‘Fairshare Educational Foundation’.
